Have come here 2x in the past month and the food is outstanding and the service is great! Even as a vegetarian, I had tons of options and the prices are reasonable. 100% recommended for large parties or party of 2!

This might have become our go to steak restaurant in Portland! When you walk in, you're at the butcher counter where you can survey all of the fresh cuts for the day. We were promptly greeted by the host, before being taken to an open rustic style dining room. The service was great and very knowledgeable about the different cuts of meats. We had a couple of apps, including a small charcuterie board and the deviled eggs! We finished with several steaks for the table which were incredible. I would highly recommend!

5 stars. Service, to food, the best steak frites I've ever had. Make a reservation if you can! The aioli with the steak frites is also 10/10, need a tub of it to take home. Will always go out of my way to come here!

I can't believe I've just gotten around to eating here! What a gem! Ordered the #3 and the sandwich week special both were so delicious. Also let's talk about the fries, sooooo unexpectedly addicting. Seriously get the fries! Ordered for pickup so can't say anything about dining in but definitely will be back for dinner!

Just had the Don Honcho for Sandwich Week, and let me tell you--this isn't just a sandwich; it's a masterpiece between bread. What's In It? Their house-made porchetta, thinly sliced and seared to crispy, savory perfection, nestled with grilled broccolini & red onion, Mama Lil's peppers, grana aioli, and salsa verde--all hugged by a toasted French roll that's got just the right crunch-to-chew ratio. What It Really Is? A love letter to umami. A sandwich so good it should come with its own soundtrack. If you've ever watched Chef's Table and seen the way they describe food with existential awe--yeah, this was that moment for me. It's bold, it's buttery, it's got heat, crunch, tang, and depth. Each bite is like a well-rehearsed orchestra of savory, smoky, zesty perfection. And the porchetta? It's the kind of crispy-edged, melt-in-your-mouth sorcery that makes you question every other pork product you've ever eaten. This was our 6th sandwich of the week, and so far, it's my undisputed #1. The Don Honcho doesn't just enter the chat, it kicks down the door and steals the whole damn show.

We usually go here for celebrations, however we have a diverse group that goes out often together. So: there are no vegetarian options. You have to order several sides. The salmon was the size of 2 snickers bars and was $44.00, it was good but... Server was excellent and offered gluten free options for one of our party that didn't show on that menu and came back with other options. 5 stars for that hero. Mac and Cheese was actually tasty. Drinks were creative and everyone loved theirs. 1 star missing for people on behalf of those who don't eat meat but would like to dine with their meaty friends.

Just stopping by for a great - the best steak tartare perfect combination of great meat mixed with Dijon mustard some oil, pickles and a fresh egg yolk. Also for some deli cuts since it's a butcher they have some rare cuts and deli sausages like German Mettwurst or German bologne! Always worth a stop! Service at the restaurant is great and the outdoor patio is headed and a nice addition to the inside restaurant. The butcher had great knowledge and if you need something special ask them you might get it.

Took my parents out for their 40th anniversary and the staff kindly sent bubblies to the table to help us celebrate. Love kind gestures like that! The atmosphere was warm (not stuffy like some steakhouses) and kind of felt like fancy fast casual which made the whole experience feel very down to earth and approachable but still special. Food itself was delicious and steak was cooked the way we requested. Portion size seemed a little small once the dishes arrived but it ended up being just the right amount for us. Ingredients all seem very high quality and fresh. Would definitely come again! For dessert we tried the sorbet and icecream made in house. The sorbet flavor of the night was pistachio and I sadly didn't enjoy that one bc of the grittiness. The icecream flavor was a coffee with something citrusy. Delicious and not too sweet. The perfect palette cleanser! Will definitely come back. Took a star off bc the ribeye cut we got was very fatty but I guess that's what you would expect with a rib eye? Not too familiar with cuts of meat but we cut had to cut away a decent portion of the fat and that was a little disappointing bc it was less meat to eat
